Attention UK country fans – Kenny Fosters is headed your way this month!
Country singer-songwriter Kenny Foster released his debut album Deep Cuts earlier this year featuring the lead single Stand. Now he has announced a run of tour dates in the UK & Ireland in August, kicking off later this month in Limerick, Ireland and will finish at London’s Meatopia Festival in early September. The tour will also include an ‘Under The Apple Tree’ show at Warehosue Recording Co. in Yorkshire, hosted and curated by Bob Harris. Recently highlighted as one of the ‘new country artists you need to know’ by Rolling Stone, Kenny Foster has shared stages with Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Brothers Osborne, and Buddy Miller among others.
While Kenny Foster isn’t exactly new to country music, the momentum behind the unmistakable balladeer’s 2017 release Deep Cuts has won him a host of new fans. Packed with real instruments, astute observations and the deconstruction of one man’s head and heart, Foster’s songwriting is one of a kind. While the pop-laden sounds of country radio have been trending away from the genre’s organic roots in recent times, Foster makes a case for preserving the foundations of country music while still allowing it the chance to comment on and even pine over the ever-evolving landscape.
