The LA punks are back and it’s going to be epic.
It’s been three years since the biggest punk rock band around played in the UK and now NOFX are back in 2018 bringing their live show to London and Birmingham in June.
With just two UK shows, at Birmingham’s O2 Institute on 14 June and London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton on 15 June, this is going to be an explosive hit of LA’s finest from a band who have been causing trouble for over 35 years.
Formed back in 1983, NOFX came out of the same fiery furnaces of the LA hardcore scene that gave us Bad Religion, Suicidal Tendencies, The Germs and Descendants. This is a band that really has done it all and that alone says something about their enduring popularity. Gold records, sell out shows, chart-topping success, a reality TV show, their own record label Fat Wreck Chords and even their very own craft beer and music festival, Punk In Drublic, coming to Europe in June 2018.
In 2017 Rolling Stone named their 1994 record, Punk In Drublic, in its Top 50 Greatest Pop-Punk Albums, calling it an “inspiration to scores of bands” and a record with “timeless quality”. Despite their size and popularity NOFX have adhered to DIY values and stay loyal to their roots with full-throttle fun, wild, loud and totally unmissable live performances.
Special guests on the bill at O2 Academy Brixton include modern British reggae torchbearers The Skints. NOFX’s label mates, Bad Cop Bad Cop will be guests on both shows.
