What’s Missing and Crooked Lines are out now.
Welsh-based artist Ben Parker, aka Lost Like Alice strides into 2018 with a contrasting dual-single release of What’s Missing? and Crooked Lines.
The two tracks continue to highlight the emotive, intense and impactful songwriting that Ben has become known for. Whilst delivering a tonality that conveys nostalgic tendencies, it is apparent that these two tracks are penned by one of Wales’s most unique and niche artist’s in his current rock-acoustic styling.
2017 saw Lost Like Alice gain the support of Frank Hennessey, BBC Wales, Secret Sessions and The Indiependent, draw comparisons to John Mayer a n d Jeff Buckley with previous single Headlights.
Of the latest tracks, Ben says: “What’s Missing? is about that moment in life where you realise you’re off track and could do better. More of a realisation than acceptance. Whereas Crooked Lines is in contrast to that, where you are further down the line and say “I’m not alright”, and you develop that maturity with the acceptance that allows you to piece together how something went wrong. It’s been good exploring the concept of contrast whilst maintaining the organic sound of my future EP 20.”
