German indie punks The Deadnotes release hard-hitting new video

Check out Makeup now, out on the band’s own label 22LIves Records.

The news comes ahead of their forthcoming February 2019 UK headline tour dates with Kid Dad presented by Punktastic and Already Heard, which kicks off this week with a London date at The Monarch on 20 February 2019.

The Deadnotes are currently marching their way to the top of the indie-punk scene on the continent, tipped as one of the hottest new acts of 2019. With their new single Makeup, they not only justify their current success, but up the ante to deliver both a poignant and memorable song, with a powerful message.

“It really kills us to see so many people struggling with themselves,” comment the band on the inspiration behind the single and video, “unable to find comfort simply with the way they are or how they act, and instead harming themselves by trying to be different. The song is ostensibly a socially critical song tackling beauty ideals and the way people judge each other.”

An extensive UK/EU tour will follow the single release, with shows across the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and The Netherlands to promote the band’s forthcoming album, due to be released later this year.
