Like Giants announce debut EP ‘Sovereign’

Check out their first video for Cut And Run.

Pop-punk 4 piece Like Giants have announced their debut EP Sovereign which will be self-released on the 27 September. Speaking on the new EP announcement frontman Daniel Kai said ‘We recorded the EP with Matt O’Grady (You Me At Six, Deaf Havana, Don Broco), which is set for release on 27 September. We wanted to create something that infused elements of bands that we have all separately taken influence from, with heavy breakdowns that will excite fans of heavier music, but the jumpy pop punk rhythms and melodies that will excite fans of bands like Neck Deep, State Champs and the like, with lyrics that everyone who listens can relate to, talking about issues that most people will experience in their day to day lives.’

As well as announcing their EP the band have released their first single and video for Cut And Run taken from the upcoming release.

“Cut and Run is primarily about depression and anxiety. Each one of us have suffered at the hands of both of these afflictions, through relationship breakdowns and general day to day problems. We wanted to write a track that reflected the struggle that both the rich and the poor go through, no matter your background or wealth, showing that both depression and anxiety can sneak up to anyone,” says Daniel Kai.
