Their new record Lost Frequencies is out on 8 November via Pure Noise Records.
Hawthorne Heights recently announced that they would be releasing a collection of B-sides and rarities titled Lost Frequencies, out 8 November via Pure Noise Records. They have now dropped a new song off of the album, The Perfect Way To Fall Apart (LOST).
Frontman JT Woodruff spoke about covering their own band, ‘We’ve always been a fan of alternate versions. Since we were working on covers, we thought why not cover ourselves a little bit. It’s nice to hear what songs sound like in different arrangements because all good songs stand alone in any style.’
The band have also released another new track off the album, a cover of Bush’s Machinehead, the track premiered of Popsugar.
Woodruff spoke about why they chose to cover Bush, ‘When we were all in high school, Bush came outta nowhere. Every freaking song was a smash hit. They also play that song at Cincinnati Bengals games, right after Ohio Is For Lovers, so we felt it was appropriate.’

Lost Frequencies is the follow up release to the band’s latest full length, Bad Frequencies, which was released last year via Pure Noise Records. It was the band’s first full-length release since 2013 and gave fans a look back on why Hawthorne Heights has maintained such a strong presence in the genre while continuously growing, maturing and reflecting on life as musicians and as men. The album was produced by Hawthorne Heights along with Nick Ingram (Hotel Books, Capital House Studio), and mixed by Cameron Webb (Grammy Winner, NOFX, Social Distortion).
