Anavae release debut record ’45’

Having played a record release show at London’s St Pancras Old Church earlier this week, the band are off supporting Deaf Havana next week.

Anavae’s debut album 45 was released this Friday via A Wolf At Your Door Records. It’s a truly genreless collection of innovative yet supremely catchy tracks that meld searing riffs and electronic nuance with arena-sized hooks.

Recorded over a prolonged period of short sessions with producer Peter Miles, the making of 45 was a journey to say the least. Jamie and Becca came into the process with rather different ideas and approaches, clashing on occasion but ultimately creating an other-worldly collection of tracks that’s both introspective and relatable.

A visual accompaniment to creepy current single Human was recently released and follows on from the hypnotic Not Enough music video.

Anavae celebrated the arrival of the record with a sold-out live show at St Pancras Old Church complete with live strings and choir and they’ll be hitting the road with Deaf Havana next week.
