Bowling For Soup release ‘When The Angels Sing’

The Social Distortion cover is the latest in the band’s ongoing series.

The global pandemic can’t stop celebrated pop-punk vets Bowling For Soup from releasing new music for fans. Today, the band has released their latest cover track, and this time they’ve chosen the classic When The Angels Sing from revered So-Cal legends Social Distortion.

Explaining their take on the song, frontman Jaret Reddick states:

“July 2019, we began trying to release a cover song each month. That became a more difficult task than we imagined, due mostly to having the time AFTER recording the songs to properly get them released. Anyhoo, we have each picked songs at this point…Credit for this one goes to Chris, but there is no denying our shared love for the band Social Distortion!

Social Distortion…What can you REALLY say about a band that pretty much sets itself apart from every other band and genre in the world. Little bit o’this..Little bit o’that…But tough as hell!! Mike Ness is the epitome of “cool,” and his songs sincerely never age…Nor does HE for that matter. Anytime you cover a song from musical royalty, you take a chance. But we took a stab at ‘When the Angels Sing’, and I think we did it justice.”

Following the continued success of his StageIt streamed concerts over the last month, Bowling For Soup frontman Jaret Reddick has scheduled even more shows. Continuing his goal to provide Bowling For Soup fans and music lovers the world over with some light relief during lockdown, all shows continue to be “pay what you can afford”.

You can catch Jaret performing live streaming concerts at StageIt with two upcoming shows on 30 April. Check the times and grab your tickets here: https://www.stageit.com/jaretreddick
