Being As An Ocean release new video for new single ‘Lost’

Emotional hardcore/rock quartet Being As An Ocean have released a beautifully shot video for their new single ‘Lost’, out now via Out of Line Music.

Frontman Joel Quartuccio comments: “‘Lost’ is a calling out to our loved ones. A cry that they remember the best parts of us even when all we feel we’ve been able to show is our darkness. It is about the honesty in our moments of brokenness; a plea to our closest to not give up on us when all they can recognise is the shadow of who we once were. At the end of the day, no one ever wants their hearts to go missing. None of us ever mean to be lost.”

The brand new track delves back into the raw sounds of their previous one with despairing atmospheres and building tensions galore. The result is another vision of Being As An Ocean’s future.

Being As An Ocean’s brand new single ‘Lost’ is the second video/single from the California post-hardcore crew via Out Of Line Music following the single ‘Catch The Wind’. ‘Lost’ has already caught a lot of attention since the October 24th episode of BBC Radio 1‘s Rock Show with Daniel P Carter, which is available to listen back to here.

Being As An Ocean also just announced a bold new chapter for the band, as they’re parting ways with Tyler (guitars) and Ralph (bass). The bands statement below reads:

“Being As An Ocean has always held one thing constant in our time as a band, change. We have always pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones, never afraid to try new things. It is part of what has made us who we are as a band and as people.

That being said, another time of change and growth has come for us. It is with a solemn heart that we inform you all that Tyler and Ralph have chosen to part ways with the band. It has been a beautiful 10 years of music, touring, and doing life together that we will always remember fondly and cherish deeply. We wish them the best in all of their future endeavours.

Being As An Ocean will carry on. We are as determined, focused, and energised as ever to continue showcasing our passions, lives, and art with any and all who would choose to engage with our band. We have an exciting year of anniversaries, touring, and new music for all of you planned in 2022 and are elated to be able to share it all with you very soon. Stay tuned.

With the utmost respect and love,

Joel Quartuccio”
