VUKOVI dominate at London’s Roundhouse with BABYMETAL

If there ever was a scene that was known for creating cults it is probably metalheads. But who would have thought that three girls from Japan would be the leader of the biggest cult of them all.

Scottish rock trio VUKOVI were treated to a full house as they took to the stage at London’s iconic Roundhouse, because BABYMETAL fans had been queuing from the early hours to ensure their desired spot close to the stage.

VUKOVI’s energetic and captivating six-track set not only set the tone for the evening but also solidified our belief that the band is destined for greatness. Led by the undeniable front-woman qualities of Janine, their performance was nothing short of electrifying. Janine’s fiery stage presence and powerful vocals commanded the attention of the audience from the very first note.

Songs like “LASSO” and “MERCY KILL” are perfect examples of VUKOVI’s ability to create music that resonates with their fans. These catchy and hard-hitting tracks set the crowd on fire. However, Janine’s insatiable energy was far from satisfied. She demanded even more moshing and jumping, coaxing the crowd to unleash their metal side and fully immerse themselves in the sea of sound.

After VUKOVI’s set the anticipation in the air for BABYMETAL can be cut with a knife. The feeling just before the lights go out and the band walk on stage resembles that of a rollercoaster just before it plunges towards the ground.

Opening their performance with the crowd pleasing BABYMETAL DEATH has the entire room in a frenzy. Throughout the full hour-long set it is obvious how much the band put in to make every show a spectacular of coordinated dancing, high energy and all the smiles. You can’t not be happy at a BABYMETAL show. They follow the opener with hit single Gimme Chocolate!! and deliver a show that’s spanning their decade long career. With mosh pits, circle pits, arms in the air and SO MUCH dancing going on at the Roundhouse, it is clear that the band have not come to play… or well they actually have because if you go to a BABYMETAL show and you’re not having fun, you might want to seriously reconsider your life choices. There is absolutely nothing not to love about this. It mixes the community spirit of the metal scene with the undying fangirl/fanboy love of pop fans in the best mixture to hit a stage.

BABYMETAL are truly something out of this world and nothing can be compared to the excitement and energy they bring to the stage. Long live BABYMETAL.
