Caity Baser delivers pop dream at Eventim Apollo

From the heights of TikTok virality to her biggest headline show to date at London’s Eventim Apollo – Caity Baser reignites our love for pop shows.

The 18-track set showcases that Baser’s honest and funny songwriting comes from the heart, as she is consistently in awe of the sold-out sight in front of her over the course of the evening. But Baser isn’t the only one in awe, with fans dressed up to match the red stage props, red heart sunglasses, slogan shirts and more it is clear her dedicated fanbase are having the time of their lives.

In 2022, Caity Baser played her very first show at an open-mic night in Shoreditch; and just two years later, she’s playing a sold out 5,300 cap venue. “This is batshit crazy. I know I’m meant to be cool, calm and collected, but how.” she says, still in awe.

Never taking herself too seriously, Baser starts her set with pre-taped negative comments about herself which she seemingly destroys as she steps through a big metaphoric Learner’s permit sign and bursts into “I’m A Problem”. Playing through her most iconic songs such as “X&Y” and “Why Can’t I Have Two (2468)” in the first half of her set it seems there is not stopping the singer. The room is filled with pure joy and a well thought out stage performance.

Caity Baser’s connection with her audience is not only due to her fun on stage persona, but more so thanks to the relatable lyrics of her tracks about coming of age, dating, self-love and more. And songs like “2020s” and set closer “I’ll Be Here For You” show the more thoughtful, softer side of the pop star.

Delivering a stunning set full of pop joy, Caity Baser promises to be the UK’s next musical superstar and we can’t wait to see what she’s up to next.
