Honey Revenge release new single ‘Trust Issues’

Fast-rising LA duo, Honey Revenge, have shared new single ‘Trust Issues’, the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming second album Loving and Losing, due for release on September 18th via Thriller Records.

Built around bright, ’80s-inspired production, handclaps and one of the band’s most immediate hooks yet, ‘Trust Issues’ is an instantly infectious track. Beneath its upbeat exterior, vocalist Devin Papadol captures the exhausting cycle of second-guessing every decision, questioning your instincts and wondering how you lost confidence in the person you once were.

“Not being able to trust others is debilitating, but what about not being able to trust yourself? I used to believe I could do anything I set my mind to, but over the course of the past two years my confidence has been challenged at every turn”, shares Papadol. “In my darkest hour, I didn’t feel like I could depend on my own judgement to make the most basic decisions. ‘Trust Issues’ delves into how I coped with that loss of trust.”

With each release, Honey Revenge have peeled back another layer of Loving and Losing. ‘Run Your Mouth’, ‘Poison Apple Baby’, ‘Hot Commodity’, ‘Butterfly Effect’ and ‘Sunday Scaries’ have each offered a different perspective, moving between confidence, chaos, vulnerability and self-reflection, while collectively surpassing 9 million streams. Together, they’ve offered a glimpse into an album that embraces contradiction, pairing brutally honest songwriting with sharp pop instincts and huge, instantly memorable hooks.
