Waterparks have released the video for new single Dream Boy from the upcoming album, FANDOM, out 11 October 2019.
Frontman Awsten Knight directed the surreal and vibey visual, making this his second directorial effort. In reference to the meaning behind this song, the Waterparks frontman says, “DREAM BOY IS ABOUT FAN EXPECTATIONS AND FEELING LIKE I’M CONSTANTLY BEING BUILT UP INTO SOMEONE/SOMETHING I CAN NEVER LIVE UP TO, WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO EVERYONE BEING DISAPPOINTED.”
FANDOM, the third full-length from Waterparks (and first on Hopeless Records), and produced by Zakk Cervini (Poppy, Yungblud, nothing, nowhere), is a colourful, diverse, and enigmatic collection of songs that includes the previously released, Watch What Happens Next and the tornado-like, Turbulent released in late May.
