Check out this drum cover of John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween’

Teen drum sensation Maren Alford has done it again and blown us away with one of her covers.

The year is 1978, the day is Halloween. 15 years previous, Michael Myers killed his sister and was committed to a mental hospital, but now he has escaped and has returned to kill again. Not only did this spawn a franchise that continues to deliver today, but it also cemented the composer John Carpenter, as a master of atmospheric soundtrack music.

So today, 41 years after the movie’s first release, Not Ur Girlfrenz drummer, Maren Alford has put her talent to the test, adding a drum part for the historic soundtrack. Maren became a teen sensation recently with her drum cover of Slipknot’s Unsainted, seeing a hugely positive global reaction.

Maren, with her band Not Ur Girlfrenz have recently been announced as support for Bowling For Soup on their upcoming ‘Together Again’ UK tour.

Alongside long-time Bowling For Soup friends Simple Plan, the tour is a must-attend for all pop-punk fans with dates next February from Glasgow to Brighton.
